After having taken note of several rumors, the Police Union (SPA) decided to meet with the [Natalee Holloway] Investigating Team to learn of the latest developments. SPA wished to know if is true that the Public Prosecutor sent a letter to Police Commissioner Bernadina to change the investigating team.

SPA has all the information and has taken the position not to permit any changes in the investigating team. If the Public Prosecutor and the Police Commissioner order the change just like, there will be no other alternative than to disobey such order. What assurance will the next group of detectives have that after a while Beth Twitty will not demand their removal when she sees fit?

After meeting with the investigating team it turned out that two of the members of the team are not feeling well and can not continue with the team because of their health condition. This was confirmed and as such SPA does not have any objections to, as proposed by Commissioner Bernadina, add more detectives to the team to help with the investigation. Two new members will certainly join the team and probably it will be expanded with another two to three detectives in order to speed up the investigation in the Natalee Holloway disappearance case.
