ARUBA – The annual tourism conference (ATCA) is this week. Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) and Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (Ahata) have organized this together. The most valuable partners in the travel world come together to work on keeping the product Aruba on the highest level.

This week, representatives of hotels, airline companies, and tour operators from especially the United States will get information on the latest news in the field of tourism. They will discuss statistics, new initiatives, products, and projects and they will assess the contributions of several partners. Myrna Jansen, manager of ATA considers the conference as a chance to thank the partners for their efforts and to continue build on continuity. Highlight of the conference will be the lecture of Peter Greenberg during the lunch of tomorrow. Greenberg is the travel editor of NBC’s Today Show. Even though the subject Natalee Holloway is not on the agenda, it can still be discussed upon request of the participants. Beth Twitty is back in Aruba accompanied by representatives of Paramount Pictures and NBC. Only invitees are admitted to the conference and Twitty is not one of them.

The tour operation will experience Aruba via a marketplace and a road rally. The conference will be concluded with the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Ahata.
