This person [referring to the witness] left a house to go to his own house in the late hours of the night [in question] and as he was walking to his house, he passed on a dirt road where a car was parked. As he was walking past the car he saw three men sitting in the car. One which was white put his hand to his face to cover his face while the other who has sitting next to him turned his head so that he could not be seen and the person who was sitting on the seat behind in the car quickly lowered himself to that he could not be seen at all.
After a few days when he the news of Natalee was in the news media this witness noticed that the three persons he saw in the car were Van der Sloot and the two Kalpoe siblings.

Because of fear the witness did not come forward to give police authorities this key information, but after three weeks the DIARIO team came to find the witness and convinced this person that in the interest of all people that have something on the line in this case, the witness decided to cooperate with DIARIO and with the police also and so the special DIARIO team took him to the police station at Bubali where the detectives interrogated this person.

Informations which relate to this testimony came partially from KIA where some person who was jailed together with the Kalpoe brothers heard this and that and so the information came to the special team of DIARIO and finally the witness was obtained and now the police has a better view on certain parts of the investigation.

It should also be mentioned that this is not the only key information but that there a lot of important information that in the coming days can determine the path of the investigation on the disappearance of Natalee.

Clear message again to let FBI help in investigation

ORANJESTAD (AAN): This week, the Alabama legislation approved a motion that suggests that all people from Alabama avoid visiting Aruba until the Natalee Holloway case is resolved.

But Thursday both PM Oduber and Minister of Justice Croes sent a letter to the Attorney General to thus confirm the instruction to use all legal methods to guarantee involvement of the FBI, referring to the investigation of the disappearance of the Alabama student.

Ministers insist, that the involvement must be at all levels, this means that the FBI must have complete access to the dossier, including all reports, audio recordings, footage of interrogation as well as all material that deals with this case, so far that the judicial system allows this.

In case that the actual phase of the investigation limits this level of involvement, then the instruction is to use all necessary legal methods to permit and even guarantee complete access to the FBI. In case that external expertise is needed, then the Government gives authorization and instruction to the Attorney General to do this.

Finally, it must be imperative that no doubt can exist that the Aruban authority guarantees total cooperation in this case with American authority, just as the case was from the beginning, inside the limitations of the judicial system.

It has been made clear to DIARIO that for many years already, the cooperation between the [Aruban] Police Corps and among others, the FBI and DEA was open and close. Never were there any problems in this.

The letter was also sent to the Governor, relevant departments, American Embassy, to the FBI, press and also the Holloway family.

Subject: Nathalee [sic] Holloway

Confirmed for the proper procedural ways is the instruction for obvious reasons to you to use all lawful methods to guarantee the involvement of the FBI in the investigation.

This involvement must be complete and means that the FBI is allowed to receive all interrogation reports, movies and audio recordings in addition to to all obtained materials that relates to this investigation. In short: the dossier is open to the FBI for as much as our justice system allows.

In case that the current phase of the investigation limits this complete involvement, then the explicit instructions are to use all lawful methods to ensure i.e. guarantee the involvement of the FBI. We authorize -instruct you, if you will- you to seek help of external experts as necessary.

In closing, there is not allowed to be any doubt that Aruba, in this [case] guarantees the cooperation with the American authorities, just as it was since the beginning, within the borders of our own justice system.

ORANJESTAD (AAN): Competent authorities decided that Head Prosecutor Mrs. Karin Janssen must travel to The Netherlands. According to sources it deals with an urgent flight possibly relating to the investigation that is still ongoing of Natalee Holloway.

As it is known recently park rangers called alarm when they discovered among other things a piece of Duct tape that has hair resembling the hair of the American girl that is going to be missing for two months. In this case the only suspect detained is the young man Joran van der Sloot. For the Duct tape and possibly other evidence to reach as fast as possible to the State Laboratory, which is situated in Rijswijk, The Hague, it was decided that the sealed evidence will be transported by the Head Prosecutor Mrs. Karin Jansen who boarded the flight to the Netherlands.

As it is already known from the beginning DNA tests have been conducted on the mother and father of Holloway which would facilitate the investigators. There are indications that DNA tests have been done on Joran but we can’t get official confirmation of this, but as we understood it this has already been done. Close sources stated that at the moment that the Head Prosecutors touches ground in The Netherlands the sealed evidence will he brought directly to the State Lab, where analysts will examine, study, compare, using the latest technology to find out if the hairs could belong to Natalee. Possibly tomorrow or in later days it will be determined what the result of this analysis is.
